Environmental protection

Small changes, big impact

• Digitalization
Equipping all employees with tablets to digitalize internal processes and projects.
The goal is to continuously reduce the amount of paper and toner used.

• Shift of the main sales medium from print catalogs to the online shop.For years, we have streamlined our catalog assortment and offer our customers a selection of best-of items in print.
Due to the smaller volume and weight of the catalogs, we save CO2 and thus resources.

• Resource utilization and increase of energy efficiency
With the continuous modernization of company buildings, including production and storage, we are becoming increasingly energy-efficient step by step.

• Returns are checked and then returned to the storage system

• Provision of water dispensers

To avoid the use of disposable water bottles, MAPROM provides each employee with a high-quality water bottle that can be refilled free of charge at provided water dispensers.

• Climate-neutral shipping with the "GoGreen" environmental protection program of Deutsche Post
This is how we offset the greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions generated during the shipping of print products.Furthermore, we send our annual catalogs nationwide without packaging. Otherwise, we use recyclable shrink wrap or send the catalogs digitally.

OEKO-TEX

Unter der Markenbezeichnung OEKO-TEX vergibt die Internationale Gemeinschaft für Forschung und Prüfung auf dem Gebiet der Textil- und Lederökologie Produktlabel und Betriebsstättenzertifizierungen. Dabei werden Produkte aller Verarbeitungsstufen entlang der textilen Wertschöpfungskette auf gesundheitliche Unbedenklichkeit und Betriebsstätten auf sozial- und umweltverträgliche Produktionsbedingungen geprüft. Kriterien und Schadstoffgrenzwerte der international einheitlichen OEKO-TEX-STANDARDs werden regelmäßig modifiziert und erweitert.

Fairtrade

Das Fairtrade-Produkt-Siegel für Baumwolle steht für fair angebaute und gehandelte Rohbaumwolle, die über alle Produktionsschritte direkt rückverfolgbar ist und getrennt von Nicht-Fairtrade-Baumwolle weiterverarbeitet wird. Die Baumwolle in Textilien, die dieses Siegel tragen, ist zu 100 Prozent Fairtrade-zertifiziert
